About South Africa

Why South Africa?  In sub-Saharan Africa, more than 34 million children are growing up as orphans.  Of those, more than 11 million are kids who have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS.  For every 10 children in the world who have lost their parents to AIDS, 8 of them live in sub-Saharan Africa.  South Africa continues to have the largest HIV epidemic in the world, with over 5.6 million people living with HIV.  These numbers are staggering.  The effects of the HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa will be felt for generations to come. We believe we can make a difference, one child at a time.
